JOB TITLE: Community & Events Lead
DEPARTMENT: Brand & Marketing
REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager
TIME PERIOD: Full time
HOURS: Full time role with 40 working hours per week, spanning across both weekdays and weekends as required for the summer events programming calendar.
These hours will often fall outside of standard business hours due to the nature of the events calendar.
ROLE SUMMARY
Neighbourgood, a leading co-living business, is looking for dynamic and talented Events & Activations Lead with excellent all round people skills to join our team and assist with leading the growth of the Neighbourgood community.
Events & Activations play an important part of creating the Neighbourgood experience for our members, and the greater city of San Francisco, within the Neighbourgood Property Services business. As an Events & Activations Lead, you will have a key role in creating, managing, and operating different events over the summer period, with the opportunity to meet new people daily, and build the culture of the Neighbourgood lifestyle.

The Events & Activations Lead will support our marketing and events team and executing and implementing an events program across the city of San Francisco. This team will be the brand ambassadors for Neighbourgood and as the friendly faces representing the brand, you will need to develop exceptional working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers and partners.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
• To provide assistance in the overall management, creation and promotion of all Neighbourgood events.
• To maintain event attendance from members, assist in the operations of Neighbourgood activities in general, and encourage customer engagement, with guidance and support from the Head of Events & Activations, Head of Brand, Exco management team and Community Managers.
• Establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with members, people of the public, service providers, brands and local businesses.
• Ensure each Neighbourgood location is informed of events to establish a full & engaging events and activations programme to drive the Neighbourgood experience.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Attending most, if not all, scheduled events on the calendar.
• Suggestion and implementation of any operational changes to ensure that events objectives are met.
• Collaborate within the team to come up with consistent weekly and monthly events, as well as unique once-off events.
• Manage, attend to, and monitor tasks and duties on the company task tracking system.
• Assist with the setup and set down of events.
• Assist with the promotion of events.
• Perform administrative tasks including but not limited to: Emails & Direct Messages
• Perform creative tasks including but not limited to: Event Posters (Design etc), Content Creation (Photos, Videos, IG Reels etc), Copywriting (Events Notices etc).
• Capturing photos and videos of events.
• Attend weekly team meetings (either in person or online) and report on any feedback about events from members/guests/attendees.
• Establish new relationships with new members and maintain key member relationships.
• Assist with establishing brand partnerships with local brands.
• Interact with Neighbourgood members to establish relationships and community.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• Own laptop computer
• An interest and aptitude to work in event planning, customer service, marketing, social media management or brand management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritise tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously
• A can-do, eager-to-learn attitude
• Able to formulate a unique vision and flawlessly execute the vision
• Creative and problem-solving skills – the ability to logically approach any situation and offer relevant suggestions for consideration
• Quick to learn and the ability to adapt quickly to change
• Self-starter and self-motivated – able to manage your own time effectively
• Strong team player, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude, who enjoys working with people and has good interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational, planning and project management skills
KEY SKILLS
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Google Applications, Asana and a good base of general computer knowledge
• A good understanding of social media management across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok
• Solid content creation skills
• Advantageous Skills: Copywriting, graphic design, photo-editing, photography and videography
